Space Environments Ecovillage--
Nature and Technology in Harmony

1. General Introduction

Samuel Liebowitz

It all started with a simple idea: let's start a venture-capital company that we, as First Millennial Foundation (FMF) members, can invest in; and let's use that capital to fund various research and development projects that will be necessary to bring about Aquarius. It was presented at a meeting of the Tri-State Chapter, and received an enthusiastic positive response from all who were present. That was enough encouragement to try to take it to the next step. However, not everyone in the chapter had money to invest in a venture-capital corporation, so an idea was born to find a way to help FMF members save money in order to invest in the venture-capital corporation. But how? Thus, the idea of a land-based colony was born. The colony has come to be named Space Environments Ecovillage (SEE), reflecting two of the basic goals of the FMF: to heal the Earth and to colonize space. SEE is designed so that FMF members can do something now in order to build toward Aquarius. Thus SEE is looking for you, as an FMF member, to play an active role in founding it and carrying it forward.
